Graz Lecture on the Art of Writing

Programme in the summer semester of 2025

  • Course: DEP.03450UB Literary Culture - Literary Scene (Graz Lectures on the Art of Writing IX: Dinçer Güçyeter)
  • Public lectures: (Literaturhaus Graz, Elisabethstraße 30)
    Part 1: Mon. 19.05.2025 - 7 pm - Fake Gucci (I)
    Part 2: Tue. 20.05.2025 - 7 pm - Fake Gucci (II)

In the Graz Lectures on the Art of Writing a prominent personality explores the question: What do I actually do when I write? In two evening lectures at the Literaturhaus Graz the course prepares for these appearances and discusses them afterwards. The ninth edition of the series focuses on the Turkish-born author Dinçer Güçyeter. He has caused a sensation in recent years with his poetry collection Mein Prinz, ich bin das Ghetto (for which he received the Peter Huchel Prize) and his prose work Mein Deutschlandmärchen (which was awarded the Leipzig Book Prize). He is also a terrific solo entertainer on any stage.
